Release 2023.2.0 on Saturday, January 28, 2023 represents the second production release of 2023. This release is smaller in scope than our typical releases due to a shortened release cycle coming into the new year. Going forward, you can expect our future releases in 2023 to have a larger number of new features, enhancements and bug fixes, as our engineering team will now be back on our typical schedule.
This release contains a customer-identified enhancement to the job approver service, two user experience improvements, and a few bug fixes.
Job Approver Service Enhancements
In this release, we added a pre-flight check and maintenance capabilities to ensure employees are removed from the company's job approver workflows prior to two scenarios:
- When an administrator attempts to remove the job approver role from an employee
- When an administrator attempts to delete an employee with job approver role
This pre-flight check improves the overall data quality and consistency for the company and prevents orphan records that could lead to confusion within the job approver workflow.
Additionally, we made two label changes on the job screen to clarify the job approver chain. These changes were made with the goal of reducing confusion.

|Current Approver||Currently Approved By|
|Next Approver||Waiting For Approval By|
Enhance BrightForm's User Interface with Responsive layout
We made two BrightForms changes to deliver a responsive user experience when viewing. Responsive means, when the user interface dynamically scales and adjusts to the user's device to that is can best utilize the screen real estate of the device. This is a common technique for mobile friendly applications, like BrightMove. In this release, we adjusted these two screens to be responsive:
- The Forms tab on the View Candidate screen
- The Available and Assigned Forms tab on the BrightForms screen
If you currently do not use BrightForms, or you need more BrightForms, please contact support and a customer success specialist can help you.
