Submittal Workflow Configuration Basics

Learn about the options BrightMove has for configuration of the submittal workflow.

The submittal workflow is a roadmap of the journey your candidate takes from applying to the job to hired or declined. This workflow is comprised of different swimlanes with statuses in each one. This workflow is able to be configured to align with your companies workflow.

If you navigate to My Quick Links > Settings > Submittal Workflow > The statuses tab you will see there are several different options for you that we will cover in this article.

Column

Description

Display Order

The order in which the statuses appear in the Status dropdown. This also determines the completion percentage.

Name

The internal name for your status.

Manager View

If you do not have manager logins on your account, you can skip this column. If you do, the Manager View toggle controls which candidates the manager can see when logging in. Toggle on to show candidates in that status; toggle off to hide them. Useful for hiding declined or unscreened candidates so managers focus on higher-quality candidates.

Placement

Turn on to designate a status for placed or hired candidates.

Decline

Turn on to designate a status for declined candidates.

Report Submittal

When you perform a sendout, the candidate's status will update to whichever status is marked as Report Submittal. Only mark one status as Report Submittal for this function to work correctly.

Report TTH

Controls whether a status counts toward the Time to Hire report, which calculates time between a job's open date and placement or close date. Toggle off for any status you don't want included in that calculation.

Quality

Marks a submittal status as a quality threshold. Any candidate who reaches this status is counted as a quality candidate in Recruiter Analytics, even if they aren't ultimately selected for the job. Only relevant if you have Recruiter Analytics enabled. Contact BrightMove Support if you have analytics but don't see quality candidates reflected in your dashboard.

Candidate Template

Displays a blue checkmark if a Candidate Template is assigned to this status.

Manager Template

Displays a blue checkmark if a Manager Template is assigned to this status.

Sourcer Template

Displays a blue checkmark if a Sourcer Template is assigned to this status.

Sales Template

Displays a blue checkmark if a Sales Template is assigned to this status.

Edit

Allows you to edit a status.

Delete

Allows you to delete a status.

In Use

Appears in place of Delete if the status is currently assigned to candidates or used in defaults. A status marked In Use cannot be deleted.
