We'll breakdown hiring manager access and how to grant managers access to the BrightMove Hiring Manager Workbench.
Overview:
The hiring manager access tool provides administrative users with a detailed list of every hiring manager within each account. This tool allows for the assignment of hiring manager access to BrightMove's hiring manager workbench by giving administrative users the power to assign and remove hiring manager licenses quickly and easily. Further, recruiters and HR admins can directly support hiring managers through the assume identity feature.
Assuming A Hiring Manager's Identity:
As a recruiter, some times you may need the ability to directly support a team member who is a hiring manager. HR Admins and Recruiters can now assume the identity of Hiring Managers, allowing them to manage tasks seamlessly on their behalf.
To do so, go to the Hiring Manager screen, and if the hiring manager has been granted access with a license, you will see the Assume button. Click this button to assume the hiring manager's identity.
Note: Activities performed while an identity is assumed are still recorded as the original user, not the assumed identity of the user. |
Once you have assumed the hiring manager's identity, you can navigate the platform as though you were logged in as them. While operating under an assumed identity, you will see the assumed user's name displayed in the left navigation frame.
Accessing the Management Tool:
By default, all BrightMove users with the Administrator security permission assigned will have access to the Manager Access option in the Settings screen. Non-administrative users can be granted access from the Security settings.
Using the Management Tool:
Selecting the Manager Access link will open the tool and provide a list of all currently assigned manager profiles.
Removing Access
Removing access is as easy as finding the correct manager and selecting the Remove action button.
Bulk removal can be accomplished by checking multiple boxes to the left of the Last Name column or by selecting the top box to select all shown manager profiles. Select the Remove Selected button to complete the bulk removal. A search bar is available to filter your manager list by Last Name, First Name, Client, or Department.
Adding Access
Selecting the
button will open a pop-up window that will contain a list of all hiring managers in the account along with the ability to assign licenses to managers for workbench access.
Individual access can be assigned by selecting the Grant Access action button for a specific manager profile. Bulk access addition can be accomplished by checking multiple boxes to the left of the Last Name column or by selecting the top box to select all shown manager profiles. Select the Add Selected button to complete the bulk access addition.
A search bar is available to filter your manager list by Last Name, First Name, Client, or Department.
Out of Licenses
Within the Add Access window, new messages will be displayed when the number of available licenses is 0 or less. The Add Selected button is now inaccessible with the verbiage Out of Licenses! is displayed.
You may contact your Support representative to add more licenses to the account, or you can navigate back to the assigned manager list to remove a manager and free up the associated license.
Individual Assignment:
In addition to the Manager Access tool in settings, a Grant Access action button can be found on all unassigned manager profiles. Hovering over the action button will display a message stating the total number of currently available hiring manager licenses.
Selecting the Grant Access button will immediately assign a license to the manager profile and allow the manager to access the BrightMove workbench.
