In this article, we will answer some common questions routinely asked to our support team.
Why do I have to reset my password every time I log in?
Another question we commonly see like this is "Why do I keep getting the message username or password is incorrect?"
Usually, this occurs when the username is incorrect. After successfully resetting your password (using the Forgot Password link), you can check your username. Following the Forgot Password link, resetting your password, and logging in, will allow you to check your username. You can do so by,
Click your avatar in the top right of the screen.
Click the menu item that says "My Profile."
Your username will be listed underneath your name in the top left of the baseball card panel. Please double-check that you are using the correct username. If you continue to have issues, contact support.
Does BrightMove post my jobs to LinkedIn?
Yes, BrightMove has a direct relationship with LinkedIn and can post your jobs using our job distribution engine, JobGorilla, via their limited listing program.
A candidate applied for a closed job. How do I stop this from happening?
There is a setting you can enable that prevents applicants from being able to apply to closed jobs. In your Settings menu, go to "Company Preferences." The preference you are looking for is "Disable Closed Job View." Make sure this is turned on to prevent applicants from applying to closed jobs. Applications might also be automatically rejected if the job is closed or inactive. Ensure the job status is active and visible to candidates to prevent unnecessary rejections.
Why isn't my job on Indeed?
Indeed requires all new staffing companies to have a sponsored visibility to post jobs. If you have not already done so, please contact Indeed support to inquire how to do this.

What is the Score in Power Search?
It is a number that represents how well a particular result matches your search.
For more technical details: Scoring uses a combination of the Vector Space Model (VSM) of Information Retrieval and the Boolean model to determine how relevant a given document is to a user's query. The idea behind the VSM is that the more times a query term appears in a document relative to the number of times the term appears in all documents in the collection, the more relevant that document is to the query. It uses the Boolean model to first narrow down the documents that need to be scored based on the use of Boolean logic in the query specification. Lucene also adds some capabilities and refinements to this model to support Boolean and fuzzy searching, but it essentially remains a VSM-based system at the heart.
Why can't my Hiring Managers view candidates that have applied to their jobs?
Please make sure that submittal status and activity type are set to viewable for hiring managers in Settings > Submittal Workflow. These options will be under the "Statuses" and "Activity Types" tabs.
