When a profile is deleted in BrightMove, it isn't gone immediately — it moves to that entity's Recycle Bin, where you can review, restore, or permanently remove it.
Finding the Recycle Bin
Each entity has its own Recycle Bin, accessible from the left-hand navigation menu:
Candidates → Candidates > Recycle Bin
Clients/Departments → Clients/Departments > Recycle Bin
Department/Locations → Clients/Departments > Department/Location Recycle Bin
Managers → Managers > Recycle Bin
Jobs → Jobs > Recycle Bin
Using the Recycle Bin
Once inside, you'll see a list of all deleted profiles for that entity along with key details like name, ID, and last modified date. From here you can:
Click Undelete to restore a profile
Click Delete Permanently to remove it for good
Use the checkboxes to select multiple profiles and restore or permanently delete in bulk
Use the Search bar to find a specific deleted profile
Note: Permanently deleted profiles cannot be recovered, not even by BrightMove Support. Only delete permanently when you're completely sure.
A few entity-specific notes
Candidates — To delete a candidate profile, navigate to the candidate screen and select Delete from the More menu in the top right. If you don't see this option, you may not have the necessary permissions. Contact your administrator or BrightMove Support.
Managers — Deleting a manager profile will also delete any associated job profiles.
Jobs — Deleting a job profile will also delete any associated manager profiles.
