LinkedIn Job Posting Limits (Basic Jobs & Limited Listings)

Understanding LinkedIn's caps on active listings

LinkedIn sets limits on how many free job postings can be active at once, and how many applicants a free posting can receive before it's hidden from job seekers. These limits are set and enforced entirely by LinkedIn. BrightMove does not control, apply, or have the ability to override them. This article explains how the limits work and what they mean for your job postings.

Note: No changes are required to your BrightMove setup or job board feed. Your jobs will continue to sync to LinkedIn exactly as they do today. LinkedIn's limits only affect which of those jobs are visible to job seekers on LinkedIn's platform.

Active Listing Cap

Beginning September 14, 2026, LinkedIn caps Limited Listings at 150 active jobs per employer (Company ID) at any given time.

If your company has more than 150 active jobs syncing to LinkedIn under a single Company ID:

  • LinkedIn will keep the 150 most recently updated listings visible to job seekers.

  • Any jobs beyond that cap will be hidden from job seekers on LinkedIn, but will remain fully intact in your BrightMove job feed and your LinkedIn account. Nothing is deleted or removed; it simply won't display on LinkedIn's platform.

Note for customers with paid Job Slots: A separate cap of 200 Basic Jobs applies per Company ID.

Apply Cap

LinkedIn is also rolling out a per-job apply limit over the coming months. Once a free (Limited) listing reaches 25 apply clicks, LinkedIn will hide that listing from job seekers, even if the job is still active and under the 150-job cap. LinkedIn has not yet shared a firm timeline for when this will be fully in effect. This article will be updated once that's confirmed.

Whose Decision Is This?

This is a LinkedIn marketplace policy, not a BrightMove restriction. BrightMove's integration with LinkedIn continues to function exactly as it always has. Your XML feed structure doesn't need to change, and there's nothing to configure on the BrightMove side. LinkedIn is choosing which of the jobs in that feed to actually display, based on their own caps.

What This Means For You

  • If you currently have fewer than 150 active jobs on LinkedIn under one Company ID, you likely won't notice any change.

  • If you have more than 150 active jobs, some of your postings will stop appearing on LinkedIn once the cap takes effect — LinkedIn will prioritize your most recently updated listings, so keeping your highest-priority postings up to date helps keep them visible.

  • If you consistently post more than 150 active jobs and need all of them visible, LinkedIn's paid Job Slots product is not subject to this cap in the same way — reach out to LinkedIn directly to explore that option.

Getting Help

For technical questions about these limits, LinkedIn's Help Center is the best resource. Since this is a LinkedIn-side policy, their support team is best equipped to answer specifics about your account.
