Ways to Send Candidates to a Hiring Manager
Recruiters can send candidates to Hiring Managers from multiple areas in BrightMove. This flexibility allows you to initiate a Sendout whether you’re working from a specific job or reviewing candidates in bulk.
Sendouts can be initiated from:
The Submittals tab on a Job Profile
Power Search results for candidates
Sending Candidates via Mass Actions
When sending candidates from the Submittals tab or Power Search, you’ll use the Mass Action workflow.
To begin:
Select one or more candidates from the list
Open the Choose an Action for the List dropdown
Select Send to Hiring Manager
Sendout Options (Group vs. Individual Emails)
After selecting Send to Hiring Manager, a modal will appear asking how you’d like to send the candidates:
Send in one email
All selected candidates are included in a single Sendout email to the Hiring Manager
Send individual emails
Each candidate is sent in a separate email to the Hiring Manager
Note: You can send up to 25 candidates at a time using this workflow.
Once you choose your preferred option, the Sendout screen will open, allowing you to select the Hiring Manager, compose your email, and optionally attach candidate documents.
Sending via Email, SMS, or Both
When the Sendout screen opens, it is set up as a Compose Email and SMS by default, meaning your Hiring Manager will receive both an email and a text message with the candidate information.
The modal has two tabs, Email and SMS. So you can compose each message separately. The email tab includes your full rich-text editor, and the SMS tab includes a plain-text field with a character and segment counter.
If you'd prefer to send only one channel:
Email only — clear out the recipient in the SMS To field
SMS only — clear out the recipient in the Email To field
Whichever recipients remain will receive the sendout in that format.
Note: The Send button will be greyed out until all required fields are filled in for any channel that has a recipient set.
Email requires both a subject line and a body
SMS requires a body.
If the Send button is greyed out and you're not sure why, check two things: if you're not trying to send a particular channel, make sure you've cleared out that recipient field; if you are trying to send it, make sure the subject line and body are both filled in.
What Happens Next
From the Sendout screen, you can:
Assign the appropriate Hiring Manager
Add CC or BCC recipients
Compose your message using substitution fields
Select which candidate attachments (such as resumes or cover letters) to include
