With BrightMove’s social media sharing, you can keep your branding consistent by adding a company logo, or a job-specific image, to every post. When it’s time to promote a role, share it to your preferred social media site with a single click.
How social images work (Company vs. Job level)
Job-level image (optional but recommended): If set on a specific job, this image is used when that job is shared.
Company-level image (optional but recommended): Default image for all jobs when a job-level image is not set.
If neither is set: The social site will pick an image on its own.
Note: Results can be random, low‑quality, or cropped.
Recommendation: Use a clean, on‑brand image at the job level for high‑visibility roles. Set a company-level fallback for all other jobs.
Image guidelines (best practice)
Aspect ratio ~ 1.91:1 (e.g., 1200 × 630 px or larger) to avoid cropping.
JPG or PNG; keep file size modest so shares load quickly.
Avoid text-heavy images—social sites may crop on smaller screens.
Set a Company (Account) Social Media Image
Use this when you want a default image for all jobs.
Go to Settings > My Company.
Click the Social Media Image tab.
Select Manage Social Media Image (upper right).
Choose one:
Paste a public image URL (must be accessible without login), or
Upload an image from your computer.
Click Save & Close.
Tip: If you paste a URL, make sure it resolves directly to an image (e.g., ends with .jpg or .png) and is hosted on a site that won’t expire the link.
Set a Job-Level Social Media Image
Use this to override the company default for a specific job.
Open the Job profile.
Click the Social Media Image tab.
Select Manage Social Media Image (upper right).
Either paste an image URL or upload an image file.
Click Save & Close.
Reminder: If the job-level image is removed later, the company-level image will be used automatically.
Share a Job to Social Media (One‑Click)
From the job profile, make sure the job is marked Post to Web. Then use the built‑in share buttons.
Where to find it
In the job profile’s left panel, scroll to Job Sharing/Posting.
Use the one-click icons for LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Facebook, and Reddit; select + for additional networks
How it works
Click a network icon to open that site’s share dialog with your job link pre‑filled.
Add any desired post text in the social site’s dialog, then publish.
Use the email icon to open your mail client with the job link in the body.
Direct portal link
In Job Sharing/Posting, use Direct Link to Job on Candidate Portal to copy the exact link (choose the portal from the dropdown if you have more than one).
Troubleshooting & Refreshing Previews
Social platforms cache previews (title, description, and image). If you change an image and the old one still appears:
Wait a few minutes and retry the share.
Use the platform’s preview tools to force a refresh (e.g., “Post Inspector,” “Card Validator,” or “Sharing Debugger”).
Confirm your image URL is public and the file meets the size/format guidelines above.
Note: Caching behavior is controlled by each social platform and may take time to update.
FAQ
Do I need both a company and job image?
No. Set a company image as a safety net, and add job images only where you want a unique visual.
What if my image looks cropped on mobile?
Use the 1.91:1 aspect ratio and keep important content centered. Avoid text along the edges.
Can I track clicks from social posts?
Use your social platform’s analytics and BrightMove reporting as applicable.
